What fish you do regret selling/trading on the most (or even tank and equipment). I dont really trade or sell on much of the stuff I've had, but I did get rid of a couple of L333's which I wish I hadn't. How about you guys? Pics welcome here!

never really sold or traded any fish, but I have given a few away. I don't regret it, because i get to see them regularly and see how they have grown (gave them to a good friend of mine) I do regret not taking better care of an absolutely beautiful gt I had. I was still new to fish keeping, and had never read about the stuff i needed to do to properly care for them. He died before his time. and i miss that fish.

I have two regrets fish wise:
and both of these fish had to go to the LFS due to aggression with the fish they were with..

1. I had a very big (12 inches long and thick) banded leporinus with a beatiful orange red throat. I had him from a 1 inch baby that my ex GF had given me.. I had him for about 5 years when all of a sudden he got nasty...

2. same situation, only this time with a 6 inch distichodus sexfasciatus that my ex GF also gave me (when she worked at a close by LFS she used to bring me home fish all the time - damn I miss her LOL) that I grew up to be really big...and again, once he got bigger than everyone else, he got nasty..

I know these situations were beyond my control, but I still wish I had these big colourful fish!

Feeding my black aro tail on shrimp.:(

these aren't as big as most on here, but my biggest regrets in fishkeeping are:

1. having to give away my pair of rainbow cichlids (Herotilapia multispinosa) for a dumb relationship-based reason back in 2005 and then regret it when I couldn't find any rainbows anywhere this past year when I wanted some for my 125 gallon tank.

2. back when I was young(er) and naive, basically killing a payara I had by introducing disease through a tankmate without quarantine.

Selling my brandti. Esp. since 2-3 months later, apparently fishing basically stopped on that river due to guerrillas or something and prices doubled :(

My biggest regret is not marking a fish as SOLD. A customer brought in a 7" CL for trade. I would have gotten it for $15. I figured no one would buy it, at the high price we sell big loaches for, so I put it in a tank so it wouldn't be in a bag for 6 hours. Someone else sold it.

When I set-up my 35. This was my very first days at fish-keeping, I didnt do a water change for 5-6 months. So I the tank just had a load of water sitting in there for 5-6 months before it got changed. Oh you should of seen the crud in the gravel.
