Your dream coldwater monster tank!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would absolutely love a muskie. But I guess I shouldn't complain considering I'm fortunate enough to live next to one of the largest salmon hatcheries in the country, in which my dad runs. :headbang2

All different type of sturgeons. 4 of each exactly. So i can swim with these monsters and knowing I won't get any meat bitten off me.

Its sad that most of you only want catfish, lake fish, trouts, carp, sturgeons etc
but i would personally want a large aquarium of mostly all kinds of fancy goldfish ^_^

Dont blame me >.<

1st of all Goldfish arent natives.....they are coldwater....but not natives; 2nd of all I just cant wrap my brain around people being sad about other peoples choices.... whether someones into colorfull darters/shiners or big grey catfish dosent really bother me, Ive got bigger fish to fry (no pun intended). What REALLY bugs me is simple minded people who take issue with someone loving just natives, or S/A cichlids or even guppies and goldfish, if they make someone happy to have , they sound like a good pet to me!!!!!!! PS sorry about the tantrum......its been building for awhile.

Remember chinese koi, that goldfish are the smallest of the carp family. They are native to China, which means they originated in streams, ponds, lakes etc...

I currently own butterflies and a ranchu, as well as quite a few sunfish and a bullhead catfish. Between the fancy goldfish and the sunfish, catfish, etc...all the other fish don't have health issues and aren't delicate either. Well you can't use a color comparison either, there are many fish that are more colorful than goldfish. There are dull colored fish in goldfish and "Lake Fish."

Bottom line to each their own.

My dream tank would probally be one of those 10,000 Gallons. I would put rock bass, largemouths, sunfish, and perch. Basically, just a remake of the local lakes and ponds I fish at.
