OK, timeout. Why does everyone on these forums use the scientic names for fish? I know many of you guys memorized many of these names already but there is no way you can get them all down. Is it becuase it makes you sound smart??? I have actually posted a couple of replies with "made up" names and apparently no one knows or cares. just my 2 cents...o yeah those magneus clortiherias are very awesome fish!

Because not every fish has a common name, and some species share common names.

Oh and my dream tank would be like 2000gallons with a couple giant snake heads and some big super red asian arows.

id say a 2000 gal tank fully planted (amazon style) with sump filter and top grade equipment filled with like 100 Serrasalmus Geryi (Geryi piranha)
