12'x12'x6'H, you walk into the bedroom and there 1 viewing window, you walk into the living room, another window, in the dining room, another window. A house build around a central tank. The 4th side backs up to the wet room! A room where all the filtration is, floor drains, controls, gizmos and gadgets!

This would definitly be my dream tank also, stocked with lots of live plants huge drift wood, and clown loaches

indoor 45' by 45' by average of 8' deep
wels catfish (2-4)
Acanthicus adonis (5+)
Arapaima Gigas (4+)
school of shiners (thousands)
assorted catfish, cichlids, carp, and other fish
decor: live plants, lava rock, large driftwood, ship wreck, etc.

20' long 3' high 3' wide with a strong current and a few brook trout awwwww

9'x9'x9' tank with a flatened corner facing the door with:
2 redtail catfish
3 silver aros
3 pacus
2 tiger shovelnose catfish
12 assorted ca/sa cichlids
1 amazon fire stingray
9 redfin prochilodus
3-6 banded leoporinus
and any other fish i find from ca/ northern sa
setup the tank in a 12'x12'x12' room so you walk in and see the tank. that would be heaven, sand and driftwood, lots of rock work.

12 ft long 8 ft wide 6ft deep. Sunken tree stumps, bare bottom, plant filtration, biological filtration, and mechanical filtration.

Ok I'm going to post a realistic dream tank. Many of the ppl on here want tanks that would require large homes and re-enforced floors to be able to happen. My dream tank is 300 gallon tank that I may get for free from a co-workers brother in the next year or so.

owning Lake Malawi.... but to be more practical, more or less...lol, i would build a back patio extension onto the back of my house that comes out from the kitchen, like what you would have for an in-door, in-ground pool, but instead of having a 3000 gallon pool i would have a full 3000 gallon aquarium. Then, i would have one of the walls in my basement be that thick, underwater glass that they have at seaworld, adjacent to my home theatre of course , so that when you go downstairs to watch a movie one entire wall is a view of my aquarium. i would stock it with a couple smooth hound sharks, triggers, clownfish, and some tangs for starters...:)

Our dream tank is really a pond with a waterfall but it does incorporate my existing tank in the overall design. They will run on separate filtration though. My partner and I have been working on this for a while and plan to build it in the country once the kids have finished their eductaion. Pretty much the house we plan to retire in away from the rat race.
