Okay; so I have been planning a DIY venture between myself & a buddy who works at an acrylic fabrication shop.
This is a footprint & approximate measures of the tank. This will be just under 1,100 gals
I hope that someone might have some views on the proposed filtration locations as well as powerhead locations for the elimination of dead spots.
Plans are to also have a waterfall return in the back (green) corner.
My thought is to have overflows in the (red) corners with wet/dry underneath, with the plumbing through the bottom so nothing is visible. The overflows will be sealed so the overflow area can be empty, while the tank is full, for maintenance & to keep the floor from ending up with 1000 plus gal on it incase of filter system failure.
I intend to have a continuous drip water change hidden in the waterfall return. I am not yet sure of the rate, I will need to tweak this as the tank grows & bioload is determined.
One side will be against a wall & the other will create a mock hall in the room, everyone entering will need to pass by the tanks backside to enter the room.
This project will not even start until I get a new house & build or retrofit a room for it, perhaps a garage since there is NO way it will fit through an entry door.
I currently have no idea what fish will be in this tank, but when it becomes a reality, there will be a new thread for that.
