I just leave the lights off for 10 minutes, add food and then use my phones flashlight. When they are eating it does not seem to bother them
Oh ok I was curious. I use to use the night time feature when I had bigger wolves. I was curious how viewing would be on these tiny things.

Something that only Aussies can get (I think), not a fish, but very cool anyway. Notopala Waterhousei, they are livebearing freshwater aquatic snails. Photos don't do the bright blue-purple with pink poka dots of their squishy bits justice. They grow to the size of a small stone fruit. Won't touch your plants, and do I good job of cleaning up algae.

I don't really consider a 5" fish mini, to me, something around 2-3" or less might be mini.


Something like the 2" mouth brooding Betta albimarginatta above from streams in Borneo.
Or the 3" killi, Funulopanchax sjoestedtii
So what do you consider 5"? Smedium?
