I have some training, and a bit of experience, having fought in full contact ring fighting, and under various other circumstances. I am still alive, some of them are not. The best fight is the one where your opponent realizes he is in it just after his body hits the floor and his brains hit the wall. At any distance gunpowder always wins.danzig;645564;645564 said:i thought this was about fighting skills?
seems to be more about guns then anything else.
any fool can pull a trigger.
but to compare martial arts or any other "dicipline" to owning a gun is retarded IMO.
"most" martial arts isnt about beating or killin someone. its about self improvement, humility, physical fitness, personal satisfaction.
owing a gun in "most" cases is a security blanket for their fears and/or lack of testicular fortitude. notice i said "most".
no offence to you competition shooters or hunters out there.
but guns really have no bearing on this topic.

Ok, Tai kwon do, old judo, Street fighting, I swing a mean quarter staff and I can scare small children with a single look. AND I 'm smart enough not to bring a knife to a gun fight. Why do they always end up as gun fights?!![]()
