your goal in fishkeeping

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i thought this thread was for how you'd like to advance your skill as an aquarist. dont get me wrong, the dream tanks are awesome, but it'd be interesting to hear how some of you guys look to better your husbandry.
apart from the breeding catsharks, i'm also setting up a small polyp stony coral tank, and a soft coral frag tank.

I am always looking for ways to improve the health of my fish. Whether that means upgrading filters, cleaning, anything really.

Near term goal, to have a colony of these little critters (Cyp. leptosoma):

My goal is to collect fish I feel are beautiful specimen of species I appreciate… occasionally I’ll choose one of them I want to breed (currently Blue Dempseys)…

My fiancé’s goal for my hobby is to keep me out of the bar…

To raise an RTC to full size

have one huge like 50,000 gallon aquarium, then divide it so i could have S/A predators (cichla, cats, arows, dorado, so on.), S/A "peaceful" cichlid/mini predators (uaru, geos, hujetas, pink tail chalceus, angelfish, boulengerella maculata, and so on. and use this part as my monster grow out tank), S/A totally peaceful (discus, tetras, corys, blue rams, apistos, and so on) and finallly a relatively small portion (at least 200-300 gallons) for a bunch of exodons....

now that would be the defintion of "SWEET" in my dictionary.

oh and also my own fish store
