Your least favorite aquarium fish and why

I'll kinda twist your question to "Your least favorite aquarium people" first.
And they would be people that get predator fish just to watch the "action" when they aren't interested in the fish itself nor do they care about it. They get a gar or a redtail or something alse and get "dissapointed" after a few months when they realize it's not what they thought, so they get rid of the fish and try something else and the cycle continues. They are often the most incompetent fishkeepers that barely meet half the requirement of said fish and that kinda infuriates me.

Now to your original question. I really hate genetically (and physically) modified fish, stuff like shortbodied fish and the "unicorn" mutation really pisses me off. These practices are unethical in my opinion and make the fish suffer just so other people see it as "cute". Also hormone doped fish suck.

And for normal fish, I never really liked any of the rift lake cichlids, they're so generic and overdone and I don't find them interesting, Tanganyicans are cool though. I like wild bettas but the domestic ones suck, to me they're overrated as heck. I guess common livebearers like mollies and guppies also fall into the uninteresting category.

One thing I want to add. You guys know the book "All Tomorrows". It's kinda happening in fish farms if you think about it, and in the pet trade generally.

African cichlids. Love Americans but African cichlids just look like a 3 year old was given a pack of textas then told to colour the fish.
Frontosa are probably the only African i would ever keep. Still I probably won’t get any.

I like bettas. Maybe not my favorite, but will always have a special place in my heart. Solid second best labyrinth fish, best legal one imo.
I also like giant gouramis, just like a small one but more interactive, more aggressive (which only makes it more interactive and intelligent), and bigger (makes for much more of a centerpiece fish). Plus they are cute in an ugly sort of way.

I ate a giant gourami in VN a few years ago at a restaurant in the Mekong Delta. It was deep-fried and was presented "standing up" above a plate between four bamboo skewers. I felt kind of bad for it, but it sure was tasty. One gourami was enough for four people, about 18 inches long.

African cichlids really bore me, the rift lakes in particular. Tired of trimming puffer's teeth, fancy goldfish are adorable and interesting but they crap too much lol, livebearers are boring.

The people hating on parrot fish and flowerhorns are missing out on probably one of the most intelligent fish ever. All the flowerhorns I've had were a joy and parrot fish too

Having kept most of the readily available fish, my least favourite (not including man made abhorations) has to be convict cichlids. Great fish, easy to breed, nice looking but nasty as hell. Once killed four piranha bought to “empty the tank” of fish that you just can’t get rid of to anyone who is not brand new to fish keeping.

can’t think a particular fish… one that’s a bully or won’t eat properly ?‍♂️
