Nice pick up Bruce. He's a good lookin' mbu! :headbang2
Just like his daddy :naughty:

I've heard that when raised in a community, they do fine for a while, sometimes for years, then snap one day & eat the whole tank. Some oddballs stay peaceful for life, but I dont think that is common... I've never had one, but one day I will!

I'll see how i get on :)

You can all be sure of many updates lol.

Mbus tend to be a little more aggresive when they are younger. They like to fin nip, but as they age it tends to go away. All of the Mbu I have ever kept are super peaceful, unlike Fahakas who kill for fun.

I have two at the moment, my little 3 in guy picks on the 10in one. (no marks, just swims at him)

The only thing they are aggresive towards, are crawdads.

These are older pics but pleny of tankmates and clown loaches without so much as a nibble.

Very nice fish! My LFS has a monster Mbu in their show tank. They say he's 32"+ but that seems a bit exaggerated IMO. He's every bit of 26 or 28 inches, but 32 is a stretch.

We need a picture of that please!!!
