Your Monsterfishkeeping Pet Peeve

Not having a big enough door to fit a big tank through. I have a chance to buy a 270 gallon used tank from the lfs for $200 but its 36" wide and my biggest outside doorway is 33".

How tall is the tank? Chances are it's less than 33" tall. Flip it on it's side and bring it in. Even if it won't fit, buy it anyway and keep it in your garage until you can use it. That's too good of a deal to pass up. Maybe that's my pet peeve, lol. Find a way.

People who only enjoy fish when they're destroying other fish.

It's a fact that fish eat fish, and that's their nature, and that's ok. But I see a big difference between using feeders and putting incompatible fish together and letting them fight it out, or letting one slowly bully the other to death, or overcrowding members of the same species to cause them to be inclined to kill each other.

Sorry, but IMHO if your fish that are permanent residents of the tank are constantly injuring or killing each other, that's not cool, that's poor husbandry.

also bring it in through your patio doors, they should pop off if you need more space...

My pet peeve(s) is the cost of aquarium stuff in Canada even though our dollar is practically equal...

My other is people who complain about "double posting" because if "double posting" stopped there would be a time when there would be no new posting except of the remaining members talking about the game last night...

my biggest peeve is my wife for not letting me get an 8x3x3 for a single umbee male. sometimes she is such a disappointment lol.

I just got reminded of another one.
People putting their damn fingers all over the glass. "What kind of fish is that?" "Ooooh I like that one" "That one is pretty". I don't mind the question at all and welcome them along with the comments, but point without putting your fingers on the glass!!! I have to clean the outside glass daily! I hate dirty glass. Takes enjoyment out of observation.

Not allowed to set up more tanks. I still have a 125G unused...i can only keep 1 tank in the 3 digit gallon range which is already up.

3 digits just sell your other tanks and get a 999 custom
