Hello; No just a preamble to my comments basically meant to indicate my intentions. I have been warned to be civil in the past and have for months tried to be so. Way too many threads have been locked, deleted lately when someone begins rowdy discourse. A number of us have lobbied the administrators to deal the members who are not civil and allow an interesting thread to go on. However the most often thing is that they just shut down a thread. Very frustrating to me anyway.
That's my whole issue the hypocrisy. They're pushing a certain agenda and influencing young minds while alienating others.
For starters its adult content and kids don't need to be exposed to it until they're old enough to process it. If that's your thing play with your polys in high heels I don't care, but we neen myd to leave children out of all this.
Its not intolerance. Just because I don't believe it's right doesn't mean I hate anyone. In my belief system it falls in line with stealing, drunkiness, etc. Why should I be forced to accept your beliefs while mine are disregarded?
Its no more adult content then being male or female and your children deal with that daily. So it is a form of intolerance. Its a simple explanation. It's really no more adult then walking down the street and seeing people or in a mall. Now if that person is pushing it's beliefs like every boy should dress up like a girl or my god is better then yours then hell yeah they need to be gone! But if its just reading a childrens book where is the harm? I say it is intolerance you dont like it you cant understand it and you immediately go for a sexual nature or "adult content", its not usually about sex.
I'm not advocating it. Contrary to your deepest dark hopes of seeing me in drag I dont dress that way. I'm well adjusted and tolerant of others beliefs and I dont have a chemical imbalance. But if those beliefs lead to someone being ostracized isnt that where it starts? The Nazis beliefs that they were the correct humans to inhabit the earth probably didnt seem so crazy in their minds. The kkk beliefs of colored people as lesser beings doesnt sound crazy to them. Those are extreme examples but how is it any different then what you said? Again if said Queen is verbally pushing an agenda then it's a different story. if its just wearing to much makeup and a to die for pretty dress and awesome shoes while reading a childrens book to kids where is the harm?

From what i read and it was only one article the problem wasnt just the reading in and of itself at least the one that occured in cali, but the fact that the kids were basically being told about the life style. Theres also mentioned of lgbtq sex ed and lgbtq history books. Some things are just age appropriate and better left for the parents to decide when and how they want to explain this stuff. I mean geez sex ed....i'd flip out
I agree 100% with that. But that was not in the first post about this topic it just said drag queens are reading to kids. Yes if drag queens are reading to kids about any sexuality at all its wrong. Thats for me to decide if and when my kids learn about that.
I dont know what the subject was that they were reading but even if it was non sexual with all the issues we have today i would still be upset over not being informed. Im so far out there id want to be informed regardless of the sexual orientation if someone from outside the school system was coming to read to my kids.I think in the overall scheme people feel like this stuff is being rammed down their throats.
The bigger question "
what is the point of having a drag queen read to kids ? Is it just a dog and pony show ? If thats the case then to me both the kids and the queen are being used as props. I would be furious if the kids were told things like why men dress up like women or anything sexual in nature.
Dude you're off the reservation big time. I consider an adult man dressing in drag adult content. Just like the plays they market for adults with such & the activities late at night for 18 up.

I still can't wrap my head around your logic on this. I have the freedom to not accept what I don't view as appropriate that doesnt make someone intolerant. One of them may view me drinking as wrong. Big whoop we can disagree and still have respect for one another.
