Your recent luck in Field Herping?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've been finding the common pacific green tree frogs and a couple american bullfrogs (one trying to eat a little western garter snake racer)
The little racer survived, so I put him off somewhere safer away from the frogs.
That's fairly much the most excitement around here unfortunately.

went on a herping trip this last weekend and had a little bit of luck. All in all, I found (but did not catch) a racer and caught a small cottonmouth, a small canebrake, a pygmy rattler, a banded water snake, and about a dozen baby gators that we came upon while canoeing.

All I find is toads, the odd salamander, and, rarely, rat snakes and even more rarely our Viper, Vipera Latastei.
