I think that this issue is moot, as some of the threads in the lounge are asking for stuff that naturally everyone answers based on their experiences and background..
To just lock out religious or political responses is well.... Discriminatory which is fine as this is not a democracy
... maybe not only religious and political responses should be locked out.. but personal relationships advices threads and responses as well.. Amongst a few....
After all it isn't the religious or political response that causes the debate... It is the fact that someone stated something in those ways that someone else disagreed with.. And instead of being some what mature... They shoot back how wrong that person is and that This political icon is this or that religious belief is that.. Those are the people that should be punished if the other advice threads are going to be allowed...
After all i believe the thread posters are asking for an all inclusive opinion and deserve just that.
Or just get rid of all personal threads in the lounge period.. We all know that the only way to solve this fairly is to Abolish the lounge completely..
Then we could act like this site is what it is A hobbiest aquarium site, not a therapy session where some one posts there honest opinion and advice due to their own experience, and gets slammed and then destroyed by complaints of bringing religion or politics to a topic where they are VERY obviously asked to do so...

just strange man,i had no idea that me and a hand full of us could take it or leave it.I understand wurm that you guys gotta hear all the side crap but it just seems strange to me how cool ive been to so many of these guys and get this back.So many non beleivers take time to fight it.Blows my mind.Think im leaving the lounge for a while.See now i want to fight back and report all the dang posts and threads i would never let my kid read.But i wont,Ill just take it or leave it.Damn adults here or what?Here you guys want some more funny pics,some grown up stuff,bunch of chets

To completely prohibit threads regarding race, religion, political affiliation etc. is completely non-discriminatory, as we aim to create a welcoming environment for everyone. The lounge is for enjoying non-discriminatory elements of life that we may or may not enjoy. Any thread, whether fish related or not that creates an environment that is hostile or problematic will be dealt with on a case by case basis. We seek an environment where everyone can get along.

Thank you, was very much sick of seeing threads full of preaching popping up everywhere in The Lounge. Avatars should be fine but I'd rather not see bible quotes in peoples signatures personally, don't care which way the mods rule either way.
