I cuagtht one like that a couple days ago it was sick and it came swimming towards me so I scooped it up in a net put it in some lily pads where it could hide he wouldnt last out in open water

i threw a 2.5 inch cast master into a ball of baby catfish, trying to entice the mom to strike, but one of the 1inch- babies chased it allthe way to shore then grabbed onto the barb on the hook. the cast master was 2 times his size!!! i wish i had a pix. also have caught lots of baby smallmouth and large mouth babies on tiny treble hooks.
