your smallest fish ever

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I caught a 1 inch bluegill with a piece of worm once. It was so small the only reason I caught it was because the worm got stuck in the fish's mouth. I also caught a quarter inch long channel cat while netting through the algae during spawning season.

You know it doesn't count if its not hooked in the mouth...that's called snagging. Snagged fish generally have to be released in most states.

I'm not sure who that comment was directed at, but in my case, the hook went into the mouth and out through the gill.

yeah yeah yeah we know side hooking isnt allowed in official tournaments but were competing for SMALLEST fish online where most of us dont even have pics.

what I want to see is one of those tiny mosquito fish that got snagged or better yet refused to let go of the bait so you pulled him out.

^me too. at lake powell we find the bullhead and catfish babys now and just throw a little lure(like a 1.5-2 inch) and see if theyll take it again, they do every time!!!
