Your thoughts on trusting people?

you should never just trust anyone... they need to prove to you over time that they can be trusted... but you should have an open heart and open mind and give people the chance to be trusted... to show loyalty etc...good old common sense must be used to maintain a good friendship without too much trust until they prove they can be trusted.

im going to say C due to in my 35 or 36 years ( to old to keep track ) i have only fully trusted 3 people in my life.

i'm cautious but i generally would trust anyone if they just took the time to get to know me.

like i would loan any mfker $50 right now if you promised to pay me back. and if you made up a real good excuse, i'd just tell you don't worry about paying me back. i figure if you're desperate enough to steal form me, i guess you need the money more than i do. it's just money, it can be remade. but good luck trying to ask for more money from me. trust can't be remade as easily as the money lost

a few years ago, i loaned a guy my dad knew $1500 because he was gonna buy a house, i dont' know the guy, never met him, this was all done thru my dad. i've also loaned my brother $1500 and given him $700 another time. I've yet to receive a penny from either. and i have a cousin, first cousin that pretty much stold $1100 from me

I've not said a single word to any of them about it. it's cool, i don't need the money, sure i could use it for things around the house but i won't starve to death or have to live on the streets so i'm good.

it all depends who you're dealing with and the situation.

I trust people way too much, but it doesn't take much for me to reverse it. I give people too many chances also.


I guess it comes back to my capitalist anarchist view.

Individuals A, People as a whole C. If you really, truly, get to know anybody it's a lot harder to hate them. If they're part of a faceless mass, it's easier for them to be jerks to you and vice versa. Jerk is a very mild word in this case, but this IS a family board.

I go on instinct, the first time I meet somebody. The persons body language, tone of voice, and especially can pick up on the persons mood. I can spot an untrustworthy person easily. Not sure how, but I can spot a person that's "full of it" within minutes. But those that I do trust, I trust totally.
