Plants.
I have numerous fish breeding in my fishroom at any time, truly enjoy keeping fish and seem to have a knack for it ,but I can barely keep java moss alive.I have 2 anubias nana that I havent killed and one tank where the hornwort is thriving but other than that I am a death sentence to plants.Houseplants too.

i would also have to say african cichlids like mbuna (are mbuna africans? seriously -_-)
Also, i dont know much about coral reef saltwater tanks. Other than the fact that it can cost thousands lol.

if you knew it all would it still be as fun of a hobby as it is?

you have to ask oddball about that :D

I am an idiot when it comes to loaches and rays

Anything saltwater, african cichlid ID and care, rays, gars, polys, natives, knives, plant ID, high tech planted tanks and probably a crap load of other stuff.

Actually I know enough about rays to decide not to get one.

you know everything? that is hard to believe unless you devote to your life to it. not saying you dont, i dont know you. I know enough but not even the half of it. when you know it all it may not be considered a hobby anymore. maybe thats what i was getting at.

no

i'm guessing that was a joke lol

my weak point has to be breeding

yes! My weak point is everything. As soon as I thought I knew anything, it seems to be different the next time around...

Fish :grinno:

African Cichlids are my weak point, when in the fish store and someone ask about any fish I can usually be of some help even if I have never kept them. But with africans I cant even ID some of the more comman ones, I know Fronts and ..., I know what a Frontosa is :D

Probably african cichlids...Ive never kept them, and never intend to...they just dont cut the cake for me I guess. I know enough about most other species of fish to atleast keep it alive and healthy. I know what I keep and have kept, and have a basic knowledge of most others. Which to me...is alright. Ive kept a successful reef tank, I will NEVER get a reef over 75G again. They are very very expensive and time consuming in sizes over that. Ive never done a high tech planted tank...but have kept high tech plants in low tech setups with great success to alot of disbelief. :)

As far as aspects of aquaria that interest me, it's definitely high-light planted tanks.

I can setup a cool low-light setup, but when it comes to dosing ferts and controlling co2, counting bubbles, blah blah blah it's all still over my head.

Soon though... soon.. :naughty:

i guess a better question would be what do i know? lol.. seriously i know almost nothing on planted tanks, salt tanks and true monsters like aro's, gars, knifefish, pbass, etc.. i could go on for days. i do know basics about lake malawi cichlids, but im a loooong way off from id'ing correctly

guess you could say im still a noob.:hitting:
