Was wondering if some of you more expirenced loach keepers can give me some info on these guys like size, food, and just basically common facts.
I have done some reasearch but all websites say something diffrent and wanted some more accurate info.:)

My blog has info on them, and I believe Lupin has a species profile in the stickies. Do you have any specific questions? Diet is basically the same as clown loaches, they max out around 6" and like to be kept in shoals. They will shoal peacefully with clowns.

I keep four yoyo loaches in my 75gal. They'll eat ANYTHING really. I feed them a variety diet of frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia, mysis, spirulina small pellets and wafers, peas, cucumbers, zuchini. I've even feed them bananas before!

Like ewurm said they like to be kept in shoals and will really be happy with any loach. They will establish a "pecking" order and when doing so will turn pale almost white. When accumulating to main tank they will hide a lot until they feel comfortable to come out, and they WILL i'll repeat WILL go up into power filters so if your filter is open and they can fit they'll be in your filter! In my tank I have some "L" tubed PVC piping thats covered under the sand that they call home, but will sleep pretty much anywhere. They love to sleep on their sides as well so don't be worried if you see it on its side just catching some Z's.

Here some pics of mine Gotta LOVE'M!

Nice looking loaches:)

I've got 5 that are always out. Watch your overflow if you have a wet/dry, they WILL end up in your sump.

Minimum number would be five. They're not really expensive and are as available as the clowns. Don't be surprised if some of your 4-inch yoyos look bloated. They're ripe with eggs but spawning has never been recorded so far. I had this happened a few times but no spawning so far. Be careful with the fish you select for tankmates as yoyos can be rather inquisitive and feisty.

Quite feisty little guys:naughty:
