Zamoras are more comfortable in 3 or more, when u have a big school of them and not much for hiding places such as what the pet store possibly had, then they will be active. I found that out and purchased 2 more, now they are happily swimming around but still hang out in their driftwood sometimes as that's a natural setting for them, hope that helps!
