God help me, I said I had thought about keeping them. (that thought occured a long time ago when they were just starting to get the publicity) I often use Asian clams in my filter sump, I said I had thought of using zebra mussels because I thought they would be a good filter. I "thought" about it, I think about lots of things I would never do. I do not think they could colonize a closed septic tank, I stand by that 100% if anyone can show they can I would like to see the evidence for that. I know they spread easily, I do not condone keeping them but I did say I wondered how much of a problem it could be if they were released into a place where they already covered everything. This is crazy, I do not keep zebra mussels, do not advocate keeping them, do not think I am exempt from the ban on keeping them, and I don't see why I seem to be the poster boy for keeping zebra mussels.
