i would look into that a little more there are knock off zebras that are sold for around that price range and you can tell when you see them the ones in the pet trade are more brown rather then black

i think you are refering to the columbian zebra plecos. they look very similar as to size and body shape but coloration is on the dark side and thinner stripes.
