paired up and ready to inhabit my 225g by themselves...
going to run 2 sponge filters and a 2180...

Nice and quiet, serene, yet Monster... =P

Nice Ben! That tank is a stunning setup so they should be very happy. :D What are you doing with the fish currently in the 225g?

Looking good. They will enjoy having that 225g all to themselves.
I'm
hoping so...I have been an overstocked community kinda guy, and with all that hassle, I decided to do a species tank, so I can observe and enjoy with peace!...

Thanks Bro...
Sell, trade, give away...
10 lbs + of tilapia pellets, crickets, superworms a month is just too much for me to afford...Gotta love pellets and a treat now and then...

I think if all goes well, I'll be able to sell the fry to cover food costs.
I have some empty 10g tanks and sponges that won't cost too much to run...

I have decided to go the same rout with pairs in a tank. Unless I can ever get 3 or more 300+ gal. tanks going I think I am going to stick with pairs as well. I love watching the interaction of my breeding pair of jags...always entertaining. I also have two Dovii one male and one female I am hoping will pair....future plans are for a festa pair RTM or maybe a Midas pair...it will be a little while need to get the Dovii situated in a 300 gal first. 225 will be plenty of room for your jags.
There wont be a lot of peace though.

I have gave my 55g to a pair of grow out FH's. Its workin out good but the male is bigger and once its feeding time he tends to get alittle aggressive!

Very nice boss!!!

Which one is the male?
The larger of the two without the bars/spots...they will flare and the coloration will get lighter and darker, although the female never looses the bars/spots...

I should have said, relatively peaceful, compared to a tank of Aros Cats and SA/CA Cichlids...

I know the Jags can get busy, just rooting and digging can seem violent.
Feeding is lightning fast especially with meal worms and crickets.
They are small yet at 5 and 6". I can just imagine them at 12"+
When all is said and done, they bed down alongside each other and chill...
