Zilch's Fish-Kids

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Awesome list! That albino sen is so pale

I now have a soft spot for sens overall with all that's been happening:p

Thanks! Sens are great, they're just underappreciated due their lack of patterns and ease of acquisition.

But let's face it, most of us started our poly obsession with a Sen so they definitely deserve some appreciation :)
Which is why I got 2, easiest and cheapest. The wc one seriously has some colour on her

They did start mine but it will most likely not proliferate for some time :(

One day hopefully I can do more big tanks. I'm focusing on the smaller side a bit as well now since I have space for that

Very impressive collection. Thanks for sharing.

Any aggression/predation issues with the lung?
Thanks!

Nope, it's a South American lung, very chill. He's been a bit on edge lately though, the pearsei I had in there recently was savagely attacking him, so he hasn't been the same lately. But no aggression at all :)

awesome collection! So glad this thread finally happened. :)
thanks for sharing the pics too.
That Congi looks absolutely spectacular as all ready stated. Makes me want to get one. All of the polys look awesome. Love how you are able to have UJs and LJs living peacefully with each other. Especially some of the smaller UJs + ornates! How is the temperament of the ornates?

And thank you for including COOKIE FISH!

Thanks! It just wouldn't be a thread without COOKIE FISH :)

I haven't really had any issues with ornate aggression, though I will say that at one point I had a young tueg that was never quite right, it had buoyancy issues and rested sideways, not sure if he had defects or neurological issues. I kept him separate for months and the condition never really improved so I just accepted that he was a derp and added him to the main tank. It took about two days but eventually the ornate smelled the blood in the water so-to-speak and I saw him swimming through the tank with the tueg sticking out of the ornates mouth like a cigar. I separated them and moved the tueg out, but it was too late and the tueg died later that day.

Moral of the story? Weak fish + ornate = one less fish

Zilch what a great group if polys and exceptional fish keeping. Perfect finlets and extremely bold patterns. All of them really look great but that congicus is special dude. Im not a fan of ansorgii but yours is stunning.

I expect this thread to get updated regularly....30 pages by end of summer, amd with all thats been going on the thread name is perfect hahaha

P.s. i still have some friends in low places. Might wake up one day and find that congi missing....just say'in
