Mount a 250w'er from the ceiling, yes. There are people that have ceiling spotlights on their tank...I saw a really cool LED one, only thing is that you are blinded when you are in that room is my bet.

Dang but would it still be effective if its 2ft high and I dont mind being blinded by light if its only the day time, and I could probly use this as my regular lighting xP. Also if anyone wants to do a trade for these im down?? xP

Oka I got a jbj k1-175 and 2 new 250watt 20k bulbs but I was wondering is this a 250 watt mh or 175mh cause on the ballast it says lamp power 175watt.

Okay I dont know what to do now. I have a 175watt ballast and its firing up 250watt 20k bulbs.

1-Is this okay??
2-Do I still need it at 2ft high even though its a 175watt ballast??
