Does anyone here take Zoloft? Please no immature or hateful comments, this is a sensitive subject for most people. Thanks in advance.

I hear so many mixed reviews on it, some claim loss of libido and weight gain, others say no. So, nobody needs to know your entire story here, just if you take it and for what reason like anxiety or depression or both, if other, than that's fine too I just don't mean for this to be a depression thread, just how the med worked for you.

My best friend takes it. She has put on some weight, but it does help with panic and other related symptoms. Other than that....
 
i use to take it for anxiety issues, can't really remember the side effects it had on me, but i ended up stopping taking it because i didn't feel myself on it... i felt emotionless
 
I took it for over a year , it helped calm my nerves down alot but in that process it made me not care about anything , I would snap over anything looking back it reminded me of how people describe Roid rage ... and I had cotton mouth 24/7 didn't matter how much I drank , the cotton mouth finally left a few days after I stoped taking it ...

But just because a pill makes someone act a certain way doesn't mean your going to react the same way to it ... if the dr thinks someone needs it , then I would give it a shot , I would monitor everything , how you act, feel ,if you notice any bad mood swings before and after the medicine, I know it sounds corny but a journal will help keep track.

having the drive to stick my tallywacker in everything I see outweighed it.


IMO, medication's are stupid when it comes to fixing mental problems. Suck it up and face your problems.
I've taken close to a dozen different mood altering medications and now that I'm off of them, I couldnt be happier.
Well, I could....I'm just saying im happier then I was when I was on them.
