Zombie movie/ book fans

i'd imagine hand-to-hand combat weapons only being effective with maybe 5 zombies(of course this is dependent on whether their fast/slow), the strength it would take to completely sever a head is probably pretty intensive, but then again decaying flesh might be easier to cut through, but i def would want a katana to decapitate some zombies

if there were swarms i'd imagine the best thing to do would be....well, run

I would def just get a boat and live in a lake, or waterway and scavenge the land during daylight
 
How about Chinese zombies? They cant even walk, they have to hop.
I prefer a mix, slow shambling with occasional bursts of speed.
 
Well there hasnt been much talk about weaponry so far. But with guns shotguns are not the best weapon of choice, they are load have a lot of recoil and the ammunition is heavy. Assualt rifles would do decent due to long range and decent accuracy but the temptation of unloading a full clip rambo style would be to much. SMGs are not preferable due to low accuracy and to much wasted ammunitions. Rifles would be a good choice preferably a semi automatic. Good range and acuraccy as long as you stay calm would be the perfect gun.

hahaha....I play a lot of video games, and love zombies so I've played COD:WAW the NAzi Zombies game, left for dead, dead rising, etc.

i always wanted a zombie killing game that spans the globe, you know travel country to country killing zombies at various world renowned landmarks and all the zombie-converts from those nations would be wearing their traditional clothes, you could have african tribal zombies, terrorist zombies, aborigine zombies, mexican zombies with sombreros(you get the point)....def would be pretty interesting, well at least I thought so

just a random thought, when you said chinese zombies I thought of this
 
One thing I have always wondered is how fast the eyes would decay out of the head of a zombie and if a zombie is guided by a sensing of life force in its food or what remains of the 5 senses.

I would imagine that the eyes if that is what they use for direction would be a very easy weak point. IF that was true I would most definitely have a super soaker filled with some chili oil or juice(which is very easy to make takes about 1/2 hr). I also wonder if pepper spray would work on them if they were using the eyes to guide, even further chili or pepper powder.

I would still prefer a shotgun because of the need for clearing a path at short distance. I would take this over another gun no probs as I am pretty sure from close range it would almost take off the head dependant on what ammo I had.

I just watched the book of eli last night killer fight scenes in it, which is why I would want a pizza scimitar.

yeah assault rifles would be where its at for the situation, perhaps a semi-auto weapon with burst-fire and acog scope.....although I wouldn't rule out shotguns especially in close range, which is way more important than range. I mean if you have time to setup and aim at a zombie you might as well not waste the ammo, and just avoid it, or sneak up and use a weapon w/o bullets
 
Bladed weapons
Axe- Pros:Long range, Good decapitator known for executions Cons: cumbersome, difficult to use in tight quarters, Also if you miss could throw you off balance.

Chainsaw Pro: If it can cut threw wood it will cut a neck Cons: Heavy, Limited fuel, loud, and dangerous to user.

Machetes: Pros: Available at any hardware store, Light weight, Usually made of strong material Cons: Short range,
NOTE* All swords are not of the same caliber, must be battle ready replicas would shatter or bend with even a few zombies*
European swords: Pros:Great range, Double sided, has worked for centuries Cons: Difficult for tight quarters, also meant more for stabbing than to cleave. Hard to find

Katakana: Pros: Strong sharp edge, decent range, meant for slicing Cons: hard to find quality pieces
 
If zombies ever did have an outbreak aslong as we can provide gas for tanks(miliraty tanks) they will have no chance. Because they cannot open it from the outside and wld be crushed by the hundreds walkin or running over to get the ppl inside. And all our new technology we cld kil the zombies from miles away and be safe yes alot of ppl wld die but it wldnt be the end of the world

weapons to posses when zombies attk: um i wld say a crow bar u can do anything with those, katana if u care for it properly it can slice the almost anythin, and pistols or a semi auto rifle, and lets not forget cross bow or compound bow i mean u can reuse some arrows more then once and u cld always make more out of the trees and resources around u

vehicles: motorcycles travels long and far and if u add a side car u cld store it with gas tanks!

traveling: I wld say group of 5 at most in dire situations food will be tough tho. and travel at day time so u can see whts happenin. Also camping in trees wld be best idea due to the fact idk if zombies wld be able to climb them if ur high engh

Food: any natural food and canned goods also bottled water will last forever!

first off good luck findin the weapon haha

second yes they r fierce warriors but rlly the shaolin monk is probly the ebst warriors to ever pick up weapons. There disapline and speed and just the perfection of attaks conqures alot of fightin styles. And i think the russian. Also the way that spartans were trained wld be crazy especailly there teactics and weapons(not just because 300 many other reasons they owned all greece) and if we r talkin tactics i wld have to say russia had the best but most brutal tactic ever when france decided to attak. Most ppl think napoleon lost because of the winter yes it was a big factor but napoleons army was so gr8t in number he cldnt always feed it. And when he went to russia. Russia used a plan called scourge the earth i believe. And it was basically we cant beat them so we will starve them they burned everythin in there country towns food supplies guns anythin when they retreated. And when france got to moscow they cldnt find any food to feed the army thats when russia started there attack process and pushed france to the point of starvation and when france had no choice but to retreat the russian calvary dominated the running french.
