there is a place near me that does them. iv done 8 or 9 years in tae kwon doe and 3 years in weapons. did minnimal work with katana but plenty with bo staff, kama, nunchuck, sai, and tonfa. honostly the 3 part is ok but seems hard to wield effectivly. the power from nunchucku is unbelievealbe!! sai are brutal too!! they would all be good against zombies though!!

Yeah, agreed on the nunchaku, I've watched some demonstrations on them and they are pretty dang powerful, haha. Sais are pretty awesome too. Although, in terms of weapons, this would have to be my favorite:

Might not be as practical as a katana or something along those lines, but my personal preference is heavy club-type weapons.
As for training, that's pretty cool that you have places near you that offer weapons training. I've been trying to get into martial arts for awhile now, sadly I just have no free time. Mostly interested in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, muay thai, aikido, and kyusho. Just wish I wasn't so busy.

EDIT: Just realized how much of a derail this is, lol. More on-topic, zombieland is a great movie. Shows lots of inventive ways to kill zombies, haha.

that is a sweet weapon! think ill add one to my collection. currently tryin to add a combat ax. single sheet of metal!!!
and i want to do muay thai but none around here that i know of. anyways its not a derail! it has to do with zombie combat!! personnally a mix of sweet bladed weapons and a few rifles and pistols is the way to survive the zombie apocalypse! im gonna hide in my basement. very small windows that are very hard to get into and only door in! muahahahaha

anybody like george a romero's diary of the dead??

Combat axe would be pretty cool. Honestly, I think the best way, in theory, to survive something like zombies would be to be really versatile. Pretty much have to be able to use anything as a weapon. Even household tools, heck, a shovel would probably be a great weapon. Ammo's gonna run out of someday, gotta be ready then. It also doesn't help I can't buy guns yet, haha. Definitely gotta have a good bladed weapon though.

thats why u need the big sword u found!!
:D

Lol, I'll definitely get at least one big one and probably two smaller ones that can be wielded simultaneously.

I wld get two like the girl from resident evil has. And a 3 part staff if I could master it. And probably 2 tomahawks for the fact I could throw them and reuse them. Also my range would be a bow. I could always remake arrows. And make string outta resources. Plus if you survive the first 48 hr of it your ok. I figure by then most ppl who are crowding the streets and bound to be infected will be long gone. Or if you can get to a military base and get in a tank you set for life. How will they get in a tank. It will be like a home. Its nearly impossible to get in with your bare hands. And I doubt there smart enough to know how.

Thats an awesome club! I think a club would be better than a blade (at least for people not well trained with a blade). Blades can get caught in flesh or stuck in bone. big club would just smash the head and destroy the brain in 1 or 2 strong hits.

Tallahassee was awesome in Zombieland, very inventive with household items.

I personally would think a flame thrower would be cool too! :D
