im 100% sure its the same turtle

i doubt he was hibernating in mid florida lol

I'm still not sure about it.

I've never kept cooters, (Cooter, teeheee) but I received an RES at about 5'' and it is now 18'' after about 1 and a 1/2 years as well..

I've hand fed wild turtles before, and alot of the time they dont run or try to get away..

Don't mean to be an ass, but come on.. No growth in the length of time?

How big does that turtle get? was it already nearly full grown?

Adult florida cooters are about 9-12''

its him alright, i could bet anything

hes a peninsula cooter, they get like 15in

the closest body of water to my house is a very small ditch like 50ft away, and there are houses blocking it and the roads there too, ive only seen snapping turtles there, tho it connects to a lake, further down

Poor guy but lucky one as well;) Turts never cese to amaze me with their hardiness. I would say he has eaten some stuff but obviously so litle he hasnt grown. And yes he is the same turtle no doubt. Now he has to get around the missing time so give him a higly nutricious and abundant diet and feed him more often then you normaly do.
