Since we where stuck in the appartment all morning.. I decided to do abit of re-arrangeing in the tank... you'll see why... He was not happy at first... But quickly changed his mind.
That second to last shot is his head peeking out of the hole he was hideing in.. I had to move the driftwood.. he doens't fit threw it anymore lol. Just his head. It's pretty funny watching him poke his head out of that hole now.. he's tried a few times to fit threw it.. but gives up and backs up. I was planning on upgradeing him to the 40breeder in about 2 monthes.. but it looks like I'll be needing to move him in about another month or sooner. We are tossing around the idea of buying another 75 w/ tax money and skipping the 40B step if he keeps growing so fast.
You should! and I should be in bed.. but I'm watching him cruise around. he gladly does it now with my reading light on ( so I can see him) Really glad I stuck this one in my planted tank.. knock on wood i have had no issues with this guy, compared to the last few challenging ones. Live black worms and a fairly low-tech plant set-up seem to really make a difference for me. the frequent small water changes also seem to help, I use a small pitcher and take the water from the top to prevent any film from overly developing at the surface.

the last picture is the 40B he will most likely be going into next. which currently houses 2 senengal Bichir, 1 Ornate Bichir, Tire track eel, and female Dwarf pike cichlid. So they're all getting a new tank, or re-homed to make room for him.

hehe yep! just like the movie! gonna try bloodworms, and krill this next week. Hopefully can convert him offa live black worms and guppies soon!
