I put the fluker's on a small plastic lid and only enough for a couple of days then would replace. Never got any mold. I think my problem was temperature. Thinking about trying again they make great bait for fishing.

I would think that the superworms would not understand to climb on it to drink. Huh maybe I'll experiment with that in the future.

Update: One is an alien now!

They would go to it as soon as I put it in. I did notice that they did chew the rim a little.

Hmmm, these guys are smarter than I anticipated. Global Domination here we come!:headbang2

There's what a dead alien looks like, a damn waste. It spent over a month easily being a mealworm then another 3 weeks stuck in an 1x1 inch square then decides to die. Well it could have been the fact that I don't have any air holes for the superworms and aliens to breathe. :screwy: If this happens more often then I'll get the drill out, but I'm hoping this was a fluke, I highly doubt that the craft box is airtight.

Edit: This pic sucks, but it's all I got. It wasn't a total waste though...treat for which ever fish wants it.

Don't you have to separate the beetles in a separate container for them to lay eggs? I remember seeing it somewhere on the web. lol

Some do some don't. I suggest doing this, but if not just make the substrate deeper(4in. instead of 2ish).

It's just simpler personally. Google helped me ALOT when I first started out so did Youtube. :)
