Thanks guys for the cool and kind words I hope all goes well. Mine is eating twice a day and is always swimming and seems happy, water temp and parameters staying the same. :) In a few weeks I may release him out of the container.

We all have our own techniques in keeping fish. To each their own. The basket is to get the aro eating right away. Its not meant for long term use. I've kept countless arowanas and I find they feed faster in a smaller/confined space. If the arowana was 5-6 inches sure they can go without food for a few days but small aros like this needs to eat ASAP. Its definitely not stressed. The white look is because the aro mimics its environment. WTT.

Good job with the aro so far Jay! Lets see some new pics!

Looks nice. I have been noticing in younger blacks a difference in tail trim colors. Some have yellow and others have bright blaze orange. My old one had yellow like yours. My current ones have bright orange. I am wondering if it has to do with collection points.

that's coolthat some have different colors , however these pics don`t help much either because his tail is bright orange :) Tonight he is much Darker with more black and friends from my Local Forum have noticed growth and strong color already in my growth thread :) on EastCoastAquariumSociety
