It's definitely not an alligator gar. It's a Florida spotted gar. You will still need a large tank. The gar is the least of your worries tho. The rtc will outgrow everyone well before they get big enough to need to worry about tank upgrade.

if most are saying its a gater gar, ( and more then one saying it to )i would take there word over the one thats stating its not.......

5 people say gator and based on the first and second pic I say gator, but the third says florida/spotted.
