Yes, Vals and others that tolerate the brackish water, grow like weed now. So I'd say it works well for aquarium plants.
Haven't done more researche than this tank, though.

Sorry to say I have missed Louisiana. I've spent time on both east and west coast of the continent, but not south.

The company, Valoya, is Finnish-German, owned by Helvar and Siemens (electrical companies) I think. I actually have no idea of if they have a distributor in The U.S. or if they do any online business... You might want to email them, here's the contact info.
