Also still have 30-50lbs of rock left in the sharks 200 and have been robbing a few pieces a day as to not shock them too bad. Whats the best way to tear down there tank so to speak with them in it? I need their skimmer to move with them but i figured thats the last thing to go. Just want a good plan, there doing well and id like to keep it easy on them.

I would fill the tank up the rest of the way with new water and let it cycle. Thats a pretty good amount of water, It would be a different story if you had 300 Pounds of live rock to go in there. You dont need to have the skimmer on the new tank right now, you can move that over when you move the sharks over.

Tank is looking great.

Looking good. The up side is that you are starting with some good seeded rock and sand to get your bacteria colony going. The sharks won't be THAT much of a load on that new water volume when you factor in the seeded stuff. Get that the new tank running and move them over once the ammonia and nitrite are converting to nitrate.

Marlin85 & Zoodiver....Thanks for your quick responses guys I really appreciate it. It makes sense to continue filling it up with new water and let it run for a while. Agreed more rock def. helps speed up the cycling process. There will be about 100lbs initially and ill pick up another 100-200lbs in the next few weeks here to help get it all goin. As for the rest of the rock and sand in the sharks current 200, is it ok to pull most all of it out over a few days or will that seriously disturb their current setup? Tank has been running since last October, has a good recirculating skimmer, bio balls, sponges and mech filtration.

The tank is looking good. What gauge square tubing did you use to build the stand?
2" box tube...1/8" thick guage....ive built plenty stands for 300-500 gals in 1" x 1/16" guage in my day aswell. All depends on how u support the spans and what u want to spend.

Good or bad idea to pull the remaining 50 lbs of rock outta my sharks current 200 for the new tank or should i wait and move it with them in a month?

I'd leave it for now. Move it when you move the sharks.
Ok...thanks again zoodiver! I figured it would disrupt their current setup if i removed too much. Finally got the tank full and running at the right salt level so now its just the waiting game.

Minor update...its almost time to drop my pair in their new home. The original "tester" damsel has been in the tank for 3 weeks and the other stock has been in for 2 weeks. Theres one clown, a starfish and 6 damsels total. My senses tell me its ready but im still a bit nervous lol so im gonna wait another week or two. Everyone think a 5-6 week cycle is being patient enough?
