just buy some bloodworm and stop being so squeamish lol. my 4 ITs were sunken bellied like your fish when i got them. started them on live bloodworm, which is all they would eat. then mixed frozen in with the live and gradually added less live till they were happily on frozen and then started adding bits of shrimp to the worms, for a while they ignored it then one day bang they were right on it. Havnt had so much luck getting them on to pellets, of the 4 only one will eat them... I got them all at around 2 inch long, the pellet eater is now around 7-8 inch and the other 3 that eat solely shrimp/tilapia etc are all 3-4 inch. most fish will eat non live eventually- i had a gar go 2 months without eating before he took his first piece of mussel!

You say you peeled the frozen shrimp

That's the wrong stuff

You need to buy the cooked peeled shrimp/prawn

Take it out of the freezer and dump in the tank

Why is that? I used to feed raw shrimp to all my dats? Doesn 't cooked remove some of the nutrition?

ill try boiling a few shrimps then freeze it. Then serve the next day. Wish me luck. If all attempts fail I'll try blood worms this weekend.

Day 30 Update: I did a 50% water change. Then fed him frozen blood worms, mysis shrimps, and brine shrimps. He just swim around investigating but did not eat. I never had such a stubborn fish.

Don't feed anything live or you will be back to stage one

I have been feeding cooked peeled prawns for years and never had a problem

You say cooking removes everything does that mean we should only eat raw food

T1: I have starve him far too long to give in with live feeding. I didn't have luck with cooked shrimps but frozen blood worms got him out exploring. He will eat or die.
