looking good mate, i had my ranchu on a window sill for a while he seemed to love it and do great. although the algae attacks i think it does the fish great, bit of natural sunlight must be good for them, alot of arowana keepers swear they need at least an hour a day.
been giving my little jelly a whole massivore pellet a day, considering its only 3 inch long thats pretty impressive haha...

mine currently eating anything they can scavenge, sink cat pellets, prawn, basa fillet, blood worms, and any fish that happen to swim in their mouth.

at the moment the algae dosn't seem to be a problem i think the plants keep it at bay. the plants growth is good in the tank i think its aided by the fact the back is painted green so light only gets in through the top.

the snakehead tank get bit from the window at one end but it only take a couple of min to remove it.

Hard to beat the impression left by a well-built natural-looking tank.
thanks very much when I get a chance I'll grab some pics with my camera I try not to play too much with this tank except water changes but it's hard to resist adding a new plant here and there although it really doesn't need it I just need to let them grow.

Thought I would share a picture from the top of the tank I quite like the way it looks from above and an update on the plant growth, still no lights only real update is some more MIA cherry barbs and the angels had eggs but didn't last the night .

well a couple of months on and the plants are doing really well, no lights on the tank all natural sun light through the window behind

water change cycle has been changed to once every two weeks, the larger angels are in their own tank now so only a few cherrey barbs 2 bristelnose and the cats in there now.

Nice, are you using that lush fert? Works great in my tanks, brings back half dead plants....

How are your raninus, sure mine has hardly grown, has a massivore pellet every two days atm, accidently dropped two in the other day and the greedy sod ate both and was swollen like a gulper cat lol... Not bad for a 3inch fish!
