my 2 goonches, had them for about a year.... got them both at about 7 inches, and now are approx 18 inches and 20 ... both were imported from india, however their coloration and behavioral differences lead me to believe 1 is a thai goonch and the other is a true indian goonch....
these 3 pics are when they were in my 400 gallon, they have since been moved back to my 220 since the larger started eating other fish....

nice pattern on the smaller one but both look to be indian? Where did you get these from? Wes of rare fish? What temp is your tank at, just wondering if kept at higher temps because growth rate seems to dramatically increase around 78-80 degrees sorry for the bombardment of questions lol

the only reason i say possibly thai is because of the lighter coloration, they both could very well be indian ..... the lighter one is also a little more docile, but both have the exact same body shape .... i keep them at 78-82 degrees, and with my overfeeding they have been growing very quickly ... truly awesome fish.... they seemed so happy in the 400, it killed me to move them back, but once he ate my 2nd largest datnoid i knew they had to be moved.... just need my dats to grow a bit more, then they can go back
