Lol thanks guys! Its 30" front to back 23" tall. I plan to keep it as long as possible but realistically im going to have to cut maybe 4 or 5 feet off. Im in the process of building the "mock footprint" right now ill know how long I can keep it by tonight. Filtration will be simple, 120 gal sump with a cubic ft of k1 for bio and filter socks... possible run a closed loop fx5 right on the bottom of the tank in the middle just to help with water flow....
My current stock will eventually go in the tank cichla and rays. I have a temensis and pinima so I needed to upgrade from my 400gal lol...
HERE'S THE CATCH!!.... the walls of the tank are 3/8 acrylic. The bottom is 1/2 and the top is 3/8 with 1/2 reinforced. I have seen this tank up and running personally with a black tip reef shark. It bowed pretty good but obviously held. There is almost zero crazing on the joints but at MINIMUM ill be beefing up all the joints with acrylic rods of some sort. Any ideas on how to support This thin monster so I can sleep at night?
