filled to about 12" and scraped most of the excess silicone. Will report tomorrow or monday if any leaks and will post pics. no scary noises or noticeable bowing so far

It's 3/8" annealed glass. water depth behind the unbraced portion of the glass will be about 18"

If i don't go straight to bed and everything is still holding I'll add more water in the morning.

First pic, Water level raised about 6"

second pic, almost to the bottom of the bulkheads so I'm going to have to cap them to fully test fill.

Third pic, local wildlife already being attracted to my tank. I'll have to get rid of it before the wife sees. very skinny black widow wrapping up a fly that came in while I had the garage door open.

what is 3/8" annealed glass is that star fire glass or whatever they call that....

Annealed is basic float or plate glass. Starfire is low iron glass.
