Sharks are fish and when ever you pull in a fish that's tired (like the shark) it will sit still for a moments befor tring to flop away.

I just came on to post about this very issue, it made front cover of my newspaper lol. Big time local event .. he said that it was a "public service" to all the fishermen.

One shark will never affect fish populations. Over-fishing of sharks will, although I definitely don't condemn sportfishing.
