I heard on the wire that it was pregnant....How sad. The marine lab that found out, had a staff member quote that "Such a lost is not only the mother, but the future of this species." Sad, that's all I have to say about that, just sad!:(

I agree that the death of that shark is unfortunate. But, sportfishing isn't destroying the shark population, irresponsible commercial fishing is.

Hey, I am a staunch republican. I don't see the need to waste our natural resources, but I don't think that shark would have lived either way. I don't care if you kill a giraffe, as long as there are enough left over. LOL
