Look i hate to burst your bubble, so you might as well give it a try with th 30g although that tank should only be used as a medical or holding tank due to its small size. If you really want to be successful you need a larger tank, period bro. And yes you have festae. the 30 you have isnt large enough for 2 festae unless theyre divided and that will only slow their growth down more. Ive been wanting to do the same hybrids as you but i have to wait till the timing is right. I have a breeding pair of rtms, i have a great festae colony that im growing to get a festae pair and once thats established ill get a jag pair and sit back and work all three combos in properly sized or divided tanks. I wish i had more money and more tanks and fish lol but in order for me to reach my goals i need to be patient. and it sounds to me like your in the same boat. do you have any other tanks that you could try this in? Hell you could even go down to wal-mart and buy cheap rubbermaid totes and hook up airstones/sponge filters and a heater to give you cheap, simple and quick extra tank space. Im just trying to help bro cause trust me i want some of these hybrids myself

i can do this in a 40 gallon what is the minimum tank size cuz i can maybe set up a tank in the garage, also i have a 180 g with small 3-4 inch fish but i dont want a mean aggressive pair in it killing
