Hello all, I live in a rather new (5 years old) apartment complex and am located on the second floor.
I currently have my 150 gallon setup and doing fine but I was wondering what size aquarium is to big for the second story of an apartment complex????
Any info would be greatly appreciated

Also, good idea or bad idea to start constructing a pond on my balcony!? lol
Thanks guys!!

???Yea....I wanna know too i have 6 tanks running in my apt. but Im scared to fill up anything bigger than a 75gal.....I have a empty 220, and a empty 125 that I would love to set up and take down a few of the smaller ones.

whats the worst they can do evict you. i mean really big deal being homeless you can always get a power inverter and run the tank out of the trunk of your car

i just have a 45 in my apt but im settin up plans for a 200

lol. No they could sue when your tank falls thru the floor.

Plus evictions go on your credit record... lol
But a few things here...
I wouldn't be so upset if it fell through the floor, I hate my downstairs neighbors haha
But what I did was call my complex's neighboring apartment because my landlord isnt always so friendly but they said there shouldnt be any problem at all setting up a 150. However, I can never get enough of it and want the 220 now :)

Well you should worry more about water damage. Say that one of your tanks leaked and cracked, the person downstairs would see the water damage on their ceiling. That is why a lot of apartments do not allow aquariums.

Sweet! go for it......if all else fails....no more downstairs neighbors lol

Some apartments have things in your lease that do not allow aquariums or aquariums over so many gallons. You need to check first before you do anything.
