How do I hand feed my arowana?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yah I know i have it closed, so far i have not seen it jump yet and I do not want to see that happen, question why do they do that though, to commit suicide due to stress or something?

how do i get all of that
Your local fish store. 10g is small for the Aro, that can explain why your Aro is skittish. My guess is your tank is 10" wide? Upgrade your tank to 100g+ and it will be less skittish-not skittish.

There are many said reasons for arowana jumping out. (Ex: In the wild a arowana would jump out and eat a insect.)

You can buy test kits to test your water params.

you prob need to add or get another filter also b/c judging by your picture your water is really cloudy.

and also make sure you do weekly wc's

It doesn't sound right. I smell a troll trying to get your blood boiled.

8" in 6 months? Lives in a 10 gallons tank?

he never said his aro grew 8" or to 8" in 6 months... he just stated that hes had the aro for 6 month and is now 8"... btw judging by his loc. "714" hes in socal and most LFS that have aros for sale at the store are around 4-6"+

I started by feeding whole market prawns to my aro. He was around 12" when he started taking food from my hand. Firstly, your arowana has to be comfortable with your presence. Mine swims up to me everyday when I get home.
