I've seemed to be getting an obsession for stingrays. I'd like to get one but need to know what size tank I can house one or two rays in. I'm in love with the BD's but doubt I could afford it. There is a fellow member here whose a little hour away so I could possibly buy from him when I'm ready. Anyways I 'll keep reading and educate myself.

180 isnt big enough for most rays. A better cheaper option for rays is a pond or a plywood build. Something like that. They like wide and long footprints. I had a few laticeps in a 180 tank but they grew too long for it. I ended up getting a pond that was a third the price of my 180.
Oh yeah and its perfectly normal to find yourself thinking about rays or thinking about buying them all the time. Great lil water puppies
So I need a tank thats 3 feet wide? Thats what I found on page 3. I don't have a garage or basement so pond is probably out of the question. Yeah I love rays and p bass, crazy isn't it. Now I'm thinking I have more of a chance at owning p bass over rays. Boo!
You can get a rubbermaid stock tank. Or a fibreglass tank with a viewing panel if u got bucks. Rubbermaid has a 300 gallon stock tank that is sweet for rays.
That rubbermaid 300 is only good for small rays. I have one sitting upside down in my yard, it's not big enough for my rays.

180 is nowhere near big enough, my 300 gal is too small for my 2 rays so upgrading soon.
the only ray i could see living in a 180 would be hystrix but even then they wouldnt be comfortable - and they are not advisable for novice ray keepers.....
