I have kept a shovel nose in a 125gal for 5 years. Your point being what? Yes OP was talking about a TSN, But "maybe" just maybe Jason was talking about a Lima (or some other shovel noses)and he didn't know it was a Lima or another shovel nose. Assumeing things is a bad way to go. You all assumed that Jason kept a TSN in a 135gal for three years and then moved it to a bigger tank. Maybe you should re-read the thread again and point to me where Jason mentioned anything about his "TSN". If Jason does come back and said he did keep a TSN in a 135gal, I'll be more then Happy to apologizes for giving a person the benefit of the doubt.
i understand where your coming from with this but if you read what you quoted me on then you would have understood where i was coming from
hence the whole its a TSN its not a TSN issue... also even if it isnt a TSN even smaller species of shovel nose cat fish get up to 18"+ full grown &
being kept in a 135g where most stock dimensions being around 18" wide the fish cant even turn, so regardless of what species of shovel nose cat fish
it is being kept in a 135g for "3 years" is ..... you get the point or so i hope you do... it's like this; what would you say to someone who is keeping or kept
a ray in a 135g for 3 years knowing that the fish will out grow that tank in a matter of time? but that person doesn't see anything wrong with that and gives
advice to other people saying it should be okay to house the fish in a 100g when the fish is around 12"+? does that seem right to you? its not about us admitting
we're wrong or whose right we are on this forum for the love of our fish keeping hobby & we dont like to see/hear fish being neglected and or improperly cared
for because that person was to lazy to research the species of fish he has.... its like a 10 year old going out to buy a arapima for his 60g tank not knowing or
doing any research about the fish before purchasing it, its ridiculous....
