Sharing part of my dietary journey. Primal eating.

I do not go to the gym either. It gets cold here so I did buy a pullup bar for my doorway. I also use an exercise ball as a bench for some exercises and I picked up some dumbbells on Craigslist and used sporting goods store.

I stopped eat ground hamburger on my nachos and tacos (which we eat twice a week or more) with black beans. I do not eat much in the way of bread, but I do like some pasta and my tortilla shells... So all grains are tough, I only have pasta once a month. I love MILK I drink 4-5 gallons a week. I know it is not almond milk or soy milk but I will let you know if I become a women from the hormones in it.

I did some extra digging and asked around on this guy's main site, and I think this diet is just right for me :D Starting it in a month when I move.

I am working on something...similar.

Cutting out red meat except for stuff that I kill myself, or was organically farmed by someone I know. I also want to cut out all dairy products because cow farming (yes, Im from Wisconson) is so detrimental to the environment. I will start with organic milk and try to wean myself...but I love cheese, icecream, and milk too much.

Not eating any non-organic meat, and most of my meat will be farmed by me, or killed by me.

(The above two are by far the hardest to do.)

Right now on facebook I am starting my own wild foods blog...I go out and gather wild plants, (and animals too) and show people the best way to prepare them. Probably the most natural way of eating ever - and very easy to do once you learn what sort of plants you are searching for. (This can be hard until you learn them. Seeing plants in a book gives you a mental image of what they SHOULD look like...but as it turns out many plants are larger or smaller than you would expect in the wild)

Im interested in your diet...just to see how it goes for those who try it. Veggies are hard to squeeze carbs out of...I would know as a type one diabetic.

I eat weeds all the time! Dandelion, vetch, stinging nettle and whatever else I might recognize. Foraging for the win!

First off, cant believe I spelled Wisconsin wrong, even with spell check.

Good start! Have you ever tried milkweed? One of the favorites I teach other people. Stinging nettles I eat the whole growing season...trying to justify wood nettles this summer that are supposed to be better...going to try the stems next...although I usually eat the stinging nettle stems as well.

Looking right now for smilax sp...

Now THAT is a neat concept. How do you prepare or what do you eat with?

That really depends...what are you interested in eating and I will give you a recipe...always trying to make new stuff. Love cooking, especially stuff that I kill, grow, or gather myself.

Someday I hope to provide for myself and my family (if I ever have one) with 100% of their food.

When I was younger, my cousins and I would forage in the forest, with wild onions and often some flowers of some sort. I don't really know to be honest. I have a lot of dandelions in the yard and a lot of this spiky pesky lettuce stuff. But I don't think the latter is edible. I don't really know what else there is to make! Dandelions is where I'd start most likely.

Milkweed has a somewhat controversial liver toxin. I'm sure it's fine for a snack, but not too often.

I eat them raw usually, like salad. The nettles, I just pick off baby leaves, roll them, and chew them with my molars. Rarely get stung and it doesn't really bother me when I do.

I used to forage plantains all the time, stuff is everywhere on our lawns, only real leafy green I'd eat. But I think I have a meal plan set up for myself now, but where I am living now it would be difficult to put into place, one month and I'm there.
