Not bad advice by fish dance, I did the same thing flow wise in my big pool.

That is a link to the page that has the raft on it.

I just got some styro board...drilled holes in it. Stuffed the holes with rock wool and planted the seeds. Nitrates never went above 10 or 15. Pretty impressive. Only one major cleaning in that time...probably close to 500g or so over water removed and replaced.

And id like to report that i can see the bottom!!!!

Still not crystal, but major improvement.
 
I would recommend busting out a video camera. Set it up in your backyard, facing the "pacu pool". Then, start filming, and begin a ranty dialogue about how you're sick of the pacu giving you lip and what not, followed by you jumping in and having a wrestling match pacu style. I will be awaiting the youtube video.
