i feed my cichlids feeders, ofcourse i raise them, and feed them high quality food. I hope... for the fish's sake you get a 75

salvini are not in any of the pet shops in my area, and why would i feed live goldfish or minnows to my cichlid? do you know how cichlids get disease from feeder fish? i will feed the texas cichlid flakes, cichlid pellets, brine shrimp, crickets, grasshoppers, worms and sinking food, and i cannot feed the cichlid goldfish also because it will break my sister's heart, i will look for a 75

whoa whoa whoa i was merely just stating that they are more of a piscovore. never once said feed it goldfish or minnows. i would never advise someone to feed fish to their cichlid. i never feed my cichlids fish. sorry you misunderstood.

so a bichir can only coexist with a texas if the tank is big enough or doesn't that help

you could probably have bichirs in there will a solo fish but as soon as fish breed things change and some pairs decide nothing else will live in that tank and a bichir will not stand a chance if that happens. if you want the bichirs id stay away from getting a pair cause you will most likely end up with only the pair in the tank especially if you get a 75 which is bare min for a pair imo

i dont think a pair would work in just a 75g IMO, that is really the BARE minimum and will only work in the very rare chance that you get a pair that never fights, the first time the male wants to beat on the female she wont have anywhere to swim away and will get severely damaged if not killed

it's alright, but yeah the goldfish can kill a cichlid cause some of them are infected with ich and other diseases, thats why no one should feed cichlids comet or common goldfish
